A new partnership between the Dionysius Transport Pirates and University of Queensland masters student, Andrew Kennedy, will see the implementation of a program to help Pirate players develop their mental skills to maximize their individual and team performances.

Andrew's activities will also include problem solving and team building exercises.

Pirate's head coach Nate Tate was excited at the prospect of having a mentor to guide and develop the mental skills of his team.

"Having Andrew on board adds another facet to what we are trying to build here at the Pirates. I am excited to have someone with Andrew's knowledge and expertise to help steer the ship!"

"I can't wait to see the trials this Sunday"
