BRENDAN TEYS BACK ON BOARD FOR 2016!

Brendan Teys will return to Pirates for the 2016 QBL season in a major coup for the club. Brendan has been helping the Adelaide 36ers make a run for the playoffs in the revamped NBL competition.

In 2014 Brendan was a key player in Adelaide's NBL title bid with some outstanding performances in the semi finals. His play earned him a call up to the Boomers camp in preparation for a 3 game series against China.

As a 100 gamer for the Pirates, Brendan will not be classed as a restricted player under the QBL rules which means the club can still recruit two more restricted players (current NBL players playing more them 10 minutes a game or US imports) As a former Under 18 Pirate represenative, Brendan's player points value is halved. (the QBL has a player points system that helps level the playing field and rewards clubs for developing players) This will help the club to attract other quality players.

"This is a huge signing fort the club!" said QBL Chair Peter Pollock, "He is a great player, a great team mate and a great bloke!, Other players want to play with him and he is our local lad made good!"
