Nasalo calling for support for Fiji cyclone victims!

Pirate legend, and champion, Peni Naslao, the man on the Hibiscus billboard, the man who has won 5 QBL championships (his first one as a Pirate), a past Bullets player and a man with a proud Fijian background will headline a team of past players in a "Heritage Game" event which will raise funds for the victims of cyclone "Winston" that ravaged Fiji recently. The raise funds will go to the Red Cross "Tropical Cyclone Winston Appeal". The games, men and women will be played at the Pirate Ship (Hibiscus Sports Centre, Klummp Rd Upper Mt Gravatt) on Friday, the 1st April. The women tip off at 6.30pm and the men at 8.00pm. "Gold Pass" members, "Red Pass" members, and "Three Colour Pass" members get in for free and the club will donate $5 to the appeal for each membership package sold up until the games. Walk up price will be $10 ($5 to be donated to the appeal) for adults and gold coin donation to the appeal for U18's.

Confirmed players so far for the men's game are, Jason Cameron, Karl Bax, Zac Carter, Ace Harding, Lucas Smith, Adam Eathorne, Owen Flyn , Dave Derwin, Scott Lloyd, Verle Williams, Daniel Lake, Kieran Bairstow. Coaches: Head Coach Wayne Larkins, Assistant Coach Peter Pollock, Manager Anthony McLean. The team will play the current Dionysius Transport Pirates in the team's first pre season hit out!

"Heritage Supporters" singlets are being made by Hoop2Hoop with the names of every player that has ever played for club since it entered the league in 2002. The singlets will be available to purchase as supporters gear on game night for only $60 ($5 from each singlet sold will be donated to the appeal). There will also be an auction of five custom made Fijian singlets worn by celebrity guests that will be participating in the event as well as other activities to help displaced Fijian families rebuild there lives.
