Brothers in Arms!

Keiran Bairstow will join brother Jarred to bolster the front line of the Dionysius Transport Pirates in the Mother's Day clash with Gladstone at the Hibiscus Sports Centre this Sunday! Keiran has agreed to take time out from his business commitments to help out the team until import Tanner McGrew arrives on the 16th May. Keiran is of similar size and strength to Tanner at 203cm.

The Pirates are hoping for the return of centre, Shaun Guy, who is battling a painful rib cartilage injury and the arrival of import, 213cm centre, Jason Conrad, for the Mother's Day clash. This will give coach Nate Tate, two players at centre, a luxury he did not have for the opening round against Toowoomba. Conrad will need to have clearances and paperwork completed by the club or he may suffer a similar fate as Toowoomba's imports in the last game and will not be allowed to play. It can be a lengthy process, if one of the parties involved does not complete their part of the process. It is more likely Conrad will be cleared for the following game against QBL newcomers the Sunshine Coast Rip on Saturday 14th May at the Ship!

Both Bairstows have the size skill and strength to play at the power forward or centre spots if Jason Conrad is not cleared in time and Shaun Guy's ribs are not ready. The brothers may well play along side each other which would be a first for them at QBL level. Games are 12.00noon and 2.00pm. Bring your Mum!
