Pirate's point guard, Sidney Parsons is a leader on and off the court! Sid has taken it upon her self to build a basketball community for those with special needs. She has been working closely with special needs schools and community groups on the south side of Brisbane with the view to provide students with the opportunity to enjoy our game. Sid's vision is to have special needs students the opportunity represent as Pirates and #HoistTheColoursHigh. To raise awareness Sid has organised a half time game with players from programs run at Logan and Redlands. Hopefully the next game will feature our very own Pirates team! If you know someone who might be interested in helping out or who would like to participate in the Pirates very first team, please share and/or come and meet Sid at the game this week end!
