The Pirates welcome our new Basketball Operations Manager Chris Hort to The Ship. Chris has previously held roles within the basketball landscape including at BQ, Redlands and Newcastle.
"For the past couple of years I ventured into retail management, however basketball has this habit of dragging you back in! I’m excited to now be on board the Pirate ship, working alongside Rob and the many other familiar faces from the past."
Chris' role will be a highly varied one. He will oversee the administration of our junior rep program, assist with our domestic competition, referee and senior rep programs; and undertake various projects aimed at improving processes and furthering the development of our Association. The first major task is running a successful under 14 Boys State Championships from June 26-29.
When you see Chris around the courts say hello and make him feel welcome.
